Preserve Monitors
Currently (summer 2005) more than 100 individuals and families act as Preserve Monitors for a particular nature preserve owned by the Little Traverse Conservancy. Monitors visit their assigned preserve at least twice each year (spring and fall) and send us a report on the condition of signs, trails, structures, etc. Read more about these responsibilities in the publications below:

Volunteer Steward Newsletter - 2005
The latest edition of the Little Traverse Conservancy's newsletter for Preserve Monitors, Trail Stewards, and Project Volunteers.
Trail Stewards
Four times each summer, Trail Stewards walk a designated trail, perform necessary maintenance, and send us a report. Tasks may include clearing branches and trees, replacing signs, and repairing boardwalks.
