DESCRIPTION:This tree planting work day will consist of planting 500 trees! The goal is to reforest an old field that is currently invaded with invasive knapweed. We hope that the pine trees will eventually shade out the invasive plant and allow the development of mesic northern hardwood forests. This event will run from 10am to 2pm or until we plant all the trees! If you would like to bring a lunch, you are more than welcome, but snacks and water will be provided to you.
