SUMMARY:Duncan Bay Spring Birding
DESCRIPTION:Join experienced birder Michael Turisk of the Mackinaw Straits Raptor Watch for early morning birding at the Duncan Bay Nature Preserve in Cheboygan. In spring, thousands of migratory birds stop along the Lake Huron shore to refuel after flights of hundreds and even thousands of miles from their wintering grounds. In mid-May, this location can be buzzing with bird activity. The Duncan Bay trail is flat and easy, though we will also be on sand at the beach. Bring binoculars if you have them, and a sharp ear to listen for singing birds. Consider insect repellent.\n
