SUMMARY:Tap into the Trails: Bike Ride to Barbara C. Hoffius Preserve
DESCRIPTION:Meet at 8:30am at Festival Square. The ride will take from 45 minutes to one hour, one way,  at a leisurely pace. From Festival Square we will hop onto the North Central State Trail and follow it 7.5 miles north, mostly on the trail. Once at the preserve we will have a volunteer watch our bikes so we can walk the short trail to the Lake Huron beach. Riders are encouraged to ride with walking-type shoes, not cycling shoes, given the path’s descent and rough surface.\nAfter a half hour or so at the Hoffius Preserve beach, riders will bike back to Festival Square.\nTotal time for the event, 2 3/4 to 3 hours.\nThis is not a ride for small children or riders who cannot do 15 miles comfortably.\n
