Go for Gold

Date

Sep 24 2022

Time

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Location

Michigan Wildlife Foundation Nature Preserve

We’re on a search for gold this golden anniversary year! Goldenrod that is. Join LTC staff member, Amy Lipson, for an informative hike and hunt for goldenrods. She will discuss their value to the ecosystem as well as identification tips and fun facts for other plants we come across. Plan for appropriate footwear to walk across soggy ground or very shallow water.

We will meet at the Michigan Wildlife Foundation Nature Preserve located between Indian River and Wolverine.

Directions: From M-68, turn south onto Afton Rd. Continue south 3 miles then turn right to stay on Afton Rd C-58. Stay on Afton Rd traveling West, then south, then west and then south again for 5 miles. Turn right onto Ford Rd (dirt road) and drive about 1 mile to the sign and gate for Michigan Wildlife Foundation Nature Preserve right before Ford Rd turns left and becomes Shann Rd.
