The following are Conservancy nature preserves in Mackinac County that do not include formal parking areas or trails. As LTC preserves, they remain open to the public for appropriate and respectful use, keeping in mind the ecological protection of the land.
Cedarville Bay 5 acres, 2012
Clark Township. LTC’s only preserve on La Salle Island, this preserve with 1,000 feet of frontage on Cedarville Bay was made possible with funding from the J.A. Woollam Foundation.
Gros Cap 2 acres, 2008
Moran Township. 1,750 feet of frontage on Lake Michigan and frontage.
Martin and Reinhardt Jahn Family 165 acres, 2016
Bois Blanc Township. 1,350 feet of frontage on Lake Huron; 2,400 feet on either side of Lime Kiln Point Road. Significant bargain sale.

Clark Township. Donated by Linda Noyes. Part of the Les Cheneaux archipelago.
Poupard Bay 1 acre, 1995
Mackinac Township. Donated by Frank and Blanche Easterlin. Includes frontage on Lake Michigan and U.S. 2, as well as habitat for dwarf lake iris.
Search Bay 25 acres, 2008
Clark Township. Purchased with federal grant funds, this property includes 4,000 feet of Lake Huron frontage. Adjoins national forest land.

Bois Blanc Township. Donated by Jim and Betty Vosper. Located on Bois Blanc Island, includes 630 feet of frontage on Lake Huron.

Clark Township. 600 feet of marshy Mackinac Bay frontage. Near Mackinac Bay Preserve.
