Ty is a native of northern Michigan and has been with the Conservancy for over 17 years. Ty has worked with hundreds of landowners and completed dozens of major land protection projects — and is passionate about protecting all that makes northern Michigan and the eastern Upper Peninsula special. With an easy transition from land protection to development, Ty is excited to help strengthen relationships that will advance the Conservancy’s mission and fundraising goals. Some of his activities will include implementing a planned giving program, coordinating grant proposals, and cultivating private foundation support. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, canoeing and exploring the northwoods with his wife, Sarah, and their three children Audrey, Emmitt, and Grayden.
