Family Fun: Bird Migration

Why do some birds fly hundreds or thousands of miles to spend the spring and summer with us? Then, they turn around in the fall to fly back to their overwintering grounds! Why do some birds stay with us year-round? Answers to these and other questions will be explored during this Saturday session. We will walk the boardwalk to look for migrants and stay-at-home birds. We will end our session with a take-home craft and a deeper appreciation of what our migrants go through each year.
