John Siegel Nature Preserve
Carp Lake, MI
A HISTORY OF GIVING
The Carp Lake community has been incredible protectors of their beloved land. To date, a total of 423 acres surrounding Carp Lake has been permanently protected. This is your chance to protect even more land in this special place to be enjoyed by generations and generations to come.
PROTECTING LAND PROTECTS WATER
Healthy water depends on a healthy watershed. With your help, we can protect the natural areas surrounding our northern Michigan waters that are crucial for wildlife habitat and the health of our water supply.
YOUR GIFT WILL PROTECT
- 92 acres of mixed hardwood and conifer forest
- Land adjacent to LTC’s William and Stephanie Veling Nature Preserve
- Existing maintained trails for you to explore
YOUR GENEROSITY DOUBLED
Carp Lake neighbors, Michael and Brenda Byers, helped raise the first $20,000 towards this project through a generous matching of the first $10,000 in donations, including $5,000 from the Paradise Lake Association.
