New to our program offerings for the 2026–2027 school year are School Field Learning Sequences. Each sequence includes three visits across fall, winter, and spring, designed as a single experience rather than three separate field trips. Winter programs are built to be flexible, taking place in the field on snowshoes or in the classroom, to allow for uncertain weather or for groups without winter gear.
Booking a sequence means one conversation and a set of dates held for your year.
Singular programs are still available for teachers who cannot commit to more than one visit.
How to schedule
Schools within all counties of LTC’s service area (Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Mackinac, Emmet and Chippewa) can receive a $200 reimbursement for busing costs through a special fund held with the Conservancy.
Through the seasons, Little Traverse Conservancy offers environmental education programs to groups at no charge.
For almost 40 years, these programs have been integrated into the school curriculum and used to complement the work that is happening in the classroom. Little Traverse Conservancy seeks to continually ensure that the programs match the current Michigan curriculum standards.
