Duncan Bay Nature Preserve

Land Description: A majority of this preserve is Lake Huron shore wetlands, making it highly desired for protection for migratory waterfowl and other water-dependent species. The land can now be enjoyed with an easy trail and boardwalk that lead to the Lake Huron/Duncan Bay shoreline.

History: With the original purchase made in 2014, subsequent purchases have been made over the years through fundraising and a grant through Huron Pines. Additional funding was raised to construct an appropriate boardwalk and bridge. The boardwalk was completed in Summer, 2019 and dedicated on August 24, 2019.

Directions: From Cheboygan take US-23 East to Duncan Ave., continue on Duncan Ave .80 miles. The Duncan Bay parking area and logo sign will be on your left.
