DIRECTIONS: From Indian River, take M-68 east toward Onaway for about 5.3 miles. Look for the parking area and sign on the left.
Join LTC Staff for a guided snowshoe or xc ski tour of the almost nine miles of trails that span three preserves on the Pigeon and Little Pigeon Rivers: the Agnes. S. Andreae Nature Preserve, the Boyd B. Banwell Nature Preserve, and the L. John and Helen Bishop Working Forest Reserve. Tours will leave the parking area at 1:30 and 3:30.
Home to unique wildlife such as elk, bobcats, and beaver, these preserves lead you to scenic river vistas, through upland forests, and past conifer swamps across 840 areas of protected lands. Opportunities abound. Hot cider, chili, and a warming campfire will be provided for this event showcasing these trails. Please bring your own skis and snowshoes. Some snowshoes will be provided for children under 14.
