Just a few miles from downtown Petoskey, this preserve offers a short trail system and a natural oasis for exploration. Enjoy a mix of mature upland hardwood forest and a swampy corridor with a small stream while searching for the natural springs. A mix of wetlands, uplands, and shoreline, this property provides a natural buffer in a positively developing region near town.
There is a small parking area, and a short trail leads towards the preserve's springs portion.
The Bubbling Springs Nature Preserve was donated in 2008 by Jay and Clem O’Neil.
In 2021, the 5-acre Robinson Family Honoring Gold Star Families Nature Preserve was
created. The main parking area for the complex now lies on the Robinson Preserve.
