A majority of this preserve is Lake Huron shore wetlands, making it highly desired for protection for migratory waterfowl and other water-dependent species. The land can now be enjoyed with an easy trail and boardwalk that lead to the Lake Huron shoreline.

History

With the original purchase made in 2014, subsequent purchases have been made over the years through fundraising and a grant through Huron Pines. Additional funding was raised to construct an appropriate boardwalk and bridge. The boardwalk was completed in Summer 2019 and dedicated on August 24, 2019.

ADDRESS: 829 Duncan Avenue, Cheboygan, MI 49721 - From Cheboygan, take US-23 East to Duncan Ave., continue on Duncan Ave 0.8 miles. The Duncan Bay parking area and logo sign will be on your left.
