Land Description

A mixed conifer-deciduous forest with a small pond. Located in the City of Petoskey, this preserve is adjacent to North Central Michigan College (NCMC) property and trails.

Trail Description

A short (approx 0.25 miles) slightly hilly trail leads you through the property down to a pond. Here you will find a viewing/dipping platform. The trail continues out to Atkins Rd. where it connects with NCMC property and trails.

History

The Sally and Jack Clark Nature Preserve was donated in 2004 by Sally Clark.

Directions

From Petoskey, Take Mitchell Road East for .7 miles. Turn right onto Kalamazoo Avenue. In .5 miles turn right onto Jennings Avenue then make a left onto Valleyview Avenue in 500 feet. Valleyview dead ends, here you will find the trailhead.
