If you’ve never been here, it’s a must-see. Home to the famous Nature Megaphone, the wild and scenic Pigeon River, and a beautiful trail system spanning over 5 miles. This Saturday, join LTC Volunteer Ambassador Richard Jenkins for a work bee on the Pigeon River. It’s a great way to give your time for a couple of hours and support the community’s enjoyment of this local favorite trail. The muddy and rooted trail needs an upgrade. We will be preparing for the new boardwalk to be built by moving lumber to the build site. This will require walking on an uneven trail with roots, carrying wood, and an optional swim in the Pigeon River afterward. You will get all your steps in for the day, for sure! If you can help for an hour or the whole day, it is all needed and appreciated.
- Meet at the Andreae Nature Preserve trail parking area. Richard will meet you there. Hike to the work site is about
